Subtitles

Odd one this. When watching live TV via Tivo, all is OK: there are no subtitles. Watch a recorded program, and subtitles appear! I cant find a way of getting rid of them. Any reference to subtitles on forums refers to right clicking on the banner. For me this does not show a subtitle option. Any ideas what is happening? Andrew
