Season Pass fail

Postby mikethebike » Mon Aug 18, 2014 7:27 am

Any clues please what a season pass is not working ?

The 100 seemed worth watching from the pilot so I set up a season's pass.

Saw a trailer Friday and assumed it had come back. Not so, this was 1.6. I'd missed 2-5

Sighed and set up another season's pass then noticed I already had one.

Compared the detail in both and the look identical
The old one says no episodes the one I just set up notes the episodes due

Hi Mike,

it may be that the season pass conflicted with another recording of a higher priority. Look into your recording history by going to Tivo Central and pressing button '2' on the remote, followed by 'View Recording History'. Navigate backwards to the missed episodes (1-5) and you should find an explanation as to why the recordings were missed. It is also possible to navigate forwards to check whether future scheduled recordings will succeed. If there was a clash with a higher priority recording then this can be avoided in future by moving the season pass further up the list. When setting passes, be sure that the 'Keep at most' number is sufficient to keep all the recordings. There are currently no repeats of 'The 100' available but it is sure to come round again soon. If you set it up as a Title Wishlist then it should be picked up even if it is repeated on another channel. Good luck,

Terry.

Hi Terry

Don't think so, but I will have a look

I still have 2 season's passes set up that look identical to me

The original says "No episodes'
The recent one says "X episodes"

There were problems with "The 100" when the data first arrived - and it created a series with the wrong title ("100%"). A correction was made but unfortunately it looks like your season pass has remained linked to the "old" series which was replaced by the "new" one.

Your new season pass should pickup remaining episodes, the old one can be deleted. Apologies that you've missed some episodes because of this  , hopefully E4 will repeat them at some point.

As an aside - I tend to use wishlists rather than season passes to a) avoid this type of issue where episodes get "orphaned" from the original season pass, and b) to cover multiple channels .e.g E4 and E4+1.

Thanks very much Steven

Good to know what happened.

Watching episode 6 last night tells me I haven't missed much !
:)

I use wishlists occasionally. Sounds like good advice to use them a lot more.
Certainly helps when a series comes back but on a different channel

It looks like Episode 3 (just) and later are still available to watch on 4OD. But you are right, you haven't missed much. :)
