Scart to hdmi adapter

Hi, anyone any experience of using an scart to hdmi adapter, theyre on ebay/amazon, anywhere from £10-£30, anyone had any success?
New telly imminent and no scart input!

I did try one - the picture was excellent and a real improvement. The menus were especially clear and crisp. The device I got was faulty, through, and after a period of time overheated and had to be re-booted. Amazon gave me my money back. Definitely worth trying it out, but be prepared for cheap components.

Hi tormat, did you have any success with your SCART to HDMI converter? And, if so, can I ask what make you went for? I'm also about to buy a new TV with no SCART input, so need to find a way of connecting my TiVo in.

And baggsey - can I ask what make you used, which overheated? I'd be keen to avoid that one!
