Doing daily call (successful) but not download

Postby bandsp » Tue Jan 22, 2019 1:10 pm

I don't seem to be getting the EPG updated ....

For some days now I have been getting the message "Please make a Daily Call Soon", even though I have received the email saying "Call successful"

My To Do List only lists programmes up to Saturday 26th Jan, (4 days ahead) although there is a message on the screen saying 7 days Programme Guide remaining.

I have forced a daily call (several times) and it completes with no error messages, but as I watch it, after connecting , it immediately goes to "Loading Data" with no "Downloading" period. ..

I have powered off the system and restarted it but it still doesn't download ..

Help ..........
Still learning ..

Mainly because I tend to forget what I have already learned .. I think

Try clearing the download log on the server for your TiVo. This will force a download of all available data next time you call in.

1) Log-in to your account at http://www.altepg.com/accountManagement/
2) Select the id of your TiVo
3) Click on 'Clear Download Logs'

I seem to suddenly have the same problem

No guide data after Jan 26th

Daily calls working fine (or so it seems)

I’ll try the log reset tomorrow

Decided not to wait. Logs reset, call made and now we’re “housekeeping (which did NOT happen after prior calls)

No guide data beyond the 26th yet, but I guess I have to wait for housekeeping to complete?

Phew - I thought it was just me.

I, too, only have guide data to the 26th.

Had deleted download logs twice in order to enable new clean downloads but problem
remained. Today was about to perform surgery on Tivo.

This morning I’m down to 6 days of guide data, so the full download hasn’t helped. Could there be a problem with the data we’re downloading?

Eurosport 2 is even worse. That guide data stops at the end of Saturday - even less tan 6 days

Tivo seems to think there should be data out to the 29th

Help please........

No luck; I still only have scheduled recordings up to Friday.

Has anyone managed to fix this problem?

There's currently an issue with the server. Data are only available until 26th or 27th (depending on the channel).

I'll keep an eye on this thread

The daily appears to have worked as put earlier, but still no "to Do" programmes after next Saturday, 26 Jan 2018.

Went to "View Server Logs" after clearing them, still shows earlier logs .. checked one of my spare TiVos .. function appears to clear that ones logs .. don't real want to re-commission one of my others (Season passes etc, but was also mean teaching it the codes for my freeview box .. its a Humax, but doesn't work with any of the inbuilt codes)
Still learning ..

Normal service has now been resumed.
Do another daily call and you should get data out to Fri 1st Feb (except for those channels where we fetch fewer days ahead)

Kind of OK

I now have guide data out to the 31st for most channels BUT TiVo thinks (on the information page) that the guide data only goes out to the 29th so I am getting the "6 days left" warning!

So something is still "off"

Accidentally rebooted TiVo

Now the guide data goes to Feb 1st AND I no longer have the 6-day nag message :)

Unfortunately I don't know for sure whether the reboot was responsible, or whether I was impatient earlier

MANY MANY thanks to whoever it was that fixed the issue
