Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me if the following number is still live
for daily calls? Is it expensive to use? Years since I've made a call.

I have a Tivo which is completely standard and isn't set up
for networking. Just thought I'd ask rather than digging out
the lengthy telephone cable to find out its defunct.

My phoneline now comes via my virgin media router , rather than the socket on the wall.
Would this hinder attempts to make a test call on these numbers?

You've answered your own question. Trying to connect a dialup modem on VOIP is never going to work using a cheap Virgin Media router.

Unfortunately virgin didn't give me a choice on the matter, had to lose the standard phone line.
Only reason I ever had the landline was for the TiVo. Ah well..........
I was keen to set the clock as it's off by 45 mins

Unfortunately for dialup users the analogue phone system is being switched off

Any remaining TiVo users will need to have switched to network cards by the end of 2025 at the latest. Spare a thought for the old and vulnerable who rely on community alarms who are also going to have to upgrade - in their cases this change could be life threatening.
