Start here to get some idea of what's involved.

You might want to remove the UK restriction from the tool links now :-)

Yes, that was in place before for obvious reasons. I'll get that sorted.

The Dutch Wiki has a good introduction to this particular method of EPG replacement.

Just been playing around with the NLTiVo image.

I must say its rather weird after being used to the standard 2.5.5 screens, seeing the orange screens and the Tivo text moving around in the background on the 3.0 image :-)

I'm thinking we are probably best bastardising our UK 2.5.5 with the relevant scripts and keeping the channel lists, IR codes etc all intact arn't we?

As I actually record quite a bit of Dutch TV on my second TiVo (mainly English language with Dutch subtitles), I'll give their image ago when I get time. But it does sound easier (I'm not a programmer) to hack the UK image rather than reinvent the metaphorical wheel. Best wishes to those who have the skills to do so.

I wont claim to be an expert on this but it occurs to me that there is a ready rolled source of listing data available - I have it for free on my Windows 7 media center PC. I'm not advocating stealing this and making it available for everyone but a script taking it from a networked PC for those that have it already available (any one with a form of Media Center from Windows?) and then reformatting it for TiVo..would that work?

Sky's website offers the full week's listings for all channels, too.

The data *can* be made to work with the scripts, but it is of poorer quality and the XML generated needs more massaging than the Radio Times data.

Excellent website Stephen - you make it sound very simple! I'm sure a lot of hard work went into condensing it to a simple series of steps like you have there. :)

Yeah, wasn't an easy job. The original info and sources were all over the place, and it took ages to track things down, including a lot of use of Google cached copies and internet history websites. It works, though.

Hi Stephen,

I'm reading your site, but when I get to page 2 of Setup 3 it says "YOU ARE NOT AUTHORISED TO VIEW THIS RESOURCE, PLEASE LOGIN"
