Just a Head's Up on Forum Changes

Things are happening at a pace and I've made additions to the forum over the last few days.

If your coming back to the forum from email links or bookmarks from the original "General" section, you may have missed the addition of sub-forums under the "UKTivo Alternative EPG" forum category:

index.php?c=4

"Work in Progress" is for information about project specific tools, scripts and routines.

"Project Requests" is where we will specifically ask for volunteers to help when we identify certain tasks.

I know a lot of you are keen to be involved and as always, these things start with a few people who have already had some experience and it takes a little time for initial milestones to be reached before additional goals are identified.

I am very excited to be in contact with the guy's from OZTivo who have very kindly offered to help out and provide stats and software to help us accomplish our goal!

One important item to note is this project is non-commercial and this is non-negotiable

This was always the intention and whilst it will please everyone too, it also brings certain challenges.

Thanks, it wasn't until I upgraded to improve things for the new users that I realised how old the old ver.2 had become , hehehe.

I'm sorry to be thick but is there a way of indicating new/unread postings. The other Tivo fora do this but I can't see anything like it on this forum.

The logo's at the front of the thread indicate different things like "Sticky" , "Unread Posts" etc, you probably won't recognise the symbols at first.
Just hover the mouse over the logo though and it will advise what the logo means with a popup mouse over message.

The "unread posts" logo is very hard to spot in this colour scheme...

Perhaps you could change the icon (or at least it's colour), Dave?

I find it easier (if that's the right word!) to look for the little "first unread post" icon which is very small but easier to differentiate.

Yeah I agree, the default icons have such subtle differences, it's hard to spot the red colouring.
I'll look into it.

Oh by the way, its easy to miss them because a feature of this board seems to only show these menus on the main forum index screen:

Ah, now I see. The view options are only visible when I am logged in.
